Study Space Design
Human Centered Design and Innovation @ Columbia
Working with my partner Arthi, we were tasked to design each other's ideal study space. After learning more about her and her study habits, I designed an intimate study pod for Arthi and a friend. Here, they have a large window overlooking the New York City skyline, which they can stare out when not working at their desks with state-of-the-art desktops. Additionally, she won't have to worry about discomfort due to the comfortable chairs in the room, or her laptop dying thanks to the ample number of outlets. The fairy lights and lamp work together to create a warm, inviting ambiance. Lastly, Arthi no longer has to creepily peek into study rooms to see if they're available -- a quick glance at the occupancy light on top of the door will let her know if the room is empty!
